Liveblogging the Golden Globes: The Most Boring Awards Show Ever!

Posted on Jan 13, 2008 07:55:23 PM | Filed under: Uncategorized

The downsized Golden Globes are more than living up to the headline in Friday’s Post, no matter how many times Billy Bush and Nancy O’Neill, the “Access Hollywood” personalities who are serving as hosts, presenters and commentators for the “press conference” fruitlessly try to whip up excitmenent. “A lot can happen in this hour,” Bush promises, but so far nothing particularly interesting. Cate Blanchett won Best Supporting Actress for playing a Bob Dylan avatar in “I’m Not There.” Bush disapproved: “It’s a woman playing a man.” Well, Blanchett did hold back a strong challenge from Amy Ryan, who has won most of the critics awards for “Gone Baby Gone.” And now a bunch of meaningless TV awards. Zzzzzzz.
